Modern Family

These are my friends and next door neighbors. Good folks, they are. I suppose you could say that I've become their sort off misplaced family member. I call them the "Modern Family" because, of the cell phones/ games amd assorted laptop and netbook computers that are always around among other things. heh.

I know Amy (the mom), likes B&W photos and she has talked about doing a collage of sorts of the kids/ family in B&W to hang in their home. I decided to put the camera in B&W mode, attached a "Nifty Fifty" 50mm F1.8 lens and just go shoot some available light-wide aperture fun shots of them last evening.

 Here's four shots that I like. I think each represents their personalities pretty well.

Welcome

 Well, I've decided to go with a blog for my photography. Pictures sure do speak for themselves, but I've found that there is usually more than what meets the eye.  So, I'll be adding my thoughts, quips and impressions along with my work so you might get a better idea of what I'm about and who I am as well as what I do.  So, I say, welcome and come back often.
